Ed was the Iverian son of Csaba and the ancestor of the Hungarians. His story was confused in the Җәгъфәр тарихы propaganda with the story of his brother Pota's descendant Kotrag. He was the ancestor of Ugyek and Almos who ruled in Bashkortostan.
