Etelköz

Etel-Köz was the Moldavian land of the Ugrian Közari which was ruled by the Bulanids. It was established by the Akötziri who remained there after Csaba the Hun left for the Ukraine. It fell under the rule of Edemen's Avars in the 6th century and then Kubrat's Kubiars in the 7th century before gaining independence in the 8th century. It was eventually abandoned leaving behind only a tiny remnant of Ugrians known as the Csangos. Most of the Közari migrated westwards into Szekelyland.
