Aba, somewhere between the 520s and 720s, became the E-Y6940 clan descended from Pata and his Varkunite wife the Daughter of Csaba the Hun and his Hvariz wife. This Transylvanian clan of Aba converted to Judaism in the mid 700s and became the ancestors of many Ashkenazi lineages. It was also from the House of Aba that the Great Moldavian King Bulan descended.
