Ed was the son of Csaba and the ancestor of the Hungarians. His story was confused in the Җәгъфәр тарихы propaganda with the story of his brother's descendants Batbayan-Bezmer and Kotrag. He was the ancestor of Ugyek and Almos who ruled in Bashkortostan.
