Chouvrtou or Kuvrt or Kuvrat was a leader of the Cozar Kazarig tribe and was named as the Patrician of the Kubiar Cozar generals who pacified the Avars of Bulgarios. Three of his Kubiar generals' tribes eventually rejected the rule of the Kara-Khazars and established their own realms.
