In reality he was the son of his father's slayer Seth/Petrus the servant of El-Ra who then took the widow of Osiris as his wife. Both Osiris and Seth/Petrus were sons of Lotan/Apep/Geb son of Shu/Seir. Osiris challenged Seth/Petrus for his inheritance and lost. But the widow raised Harpocrates/Horus the Younger as the son of Osiris not as the son of Seth/Petrus.

When Horus was old enough he castrated Seth/Petrus for violating his mother. Horus then took control of Mount Seir.

Apep attacked El-Ra, but was defeated by Set servant of El-Ra.

Akhenaten tried to restore the ancient monotheistic religion of El-Ra but failed.

Horus was responsible for the birth of  Neptune/Poseidon/Anubis and Caphtor the children of Seth the younger as well as the rest of the Giants.
